Barry M's lip paints

Hi guys. So I thought I'd give you guys another post. It'll probably be the last one I do today as I have quite a busy rest of the day. But I'll be online through-out to check comments and new posts from followers. 


So, when I was in Bristol recently, I went into Boots and thought I'd go to the 'Barry M' counter, which isn't usually the counter I'd go straight to. I'd usually go for something more like Natural Collection, Collection 2000, Miss Sporty, MUA, Rimmel and I like to have a look around the Benefit counter (not that I buy anything from there regularly). 
If you follow me, you'll know that I'm a HUGE sucker for any lip products; whether it's balms, sticks or glosses. And so I just had to try a Barry M lip "paint" in the brightest colour they do. I have no idea what it's called (leave a comment if you have a guess), but it was the brightest one, so I tried it.

And that was it wiped off slightly, so you can only imagine how bright it was before. And I now realise why  they're called lip paints, it's because they're so hard to get off! I wouldn't recommend buying any lip "sticks" from them if you're like me and like stuff on your lips that you know you can get off easily and don't have to go through all the hassle!

"Moonlight Shimmer" @ Newlook

Hi guys. So I thought I'd tell you a little bit about a 4-set gift box I got as a Christmas present from a friend. So nearly a year down the line I decided to test it. 

♥Moonlight Shimmer Soap- I haven't actually used this product yet as I'm a little bit dubious with using soaps on my body which aren't from a specific brand (e.g. Imperial Leather, Dove). However, I've opened the packaging and it smells very scented and quite over-powering. It's texture is the one thing that puts me off of it though because its quite rocky and rough.   

♥Moonlight Shimmer Body Butter- This is one of the products I was fond of. It has a great deal of product in it and it has many uses in that one tub. The one thing I would say about this is that it's got quite a greasy consistency. [More info in 'August Favourites']

♥Moonlight Shimmer Shower Syrup- This is probably the product I liked the most out of all 4! I used it as a bath oil rather than a shower syrup(as it said) and I used the whole bottle within 2 weeks. It smells absoloutley amazing and from using only the smallest bit of it per bath, a lot of bubbles come out of it. It's quite a slimy consistency, but it's not as if you have to touch bath oils and so it was probably the perfect product!

♥Moonlight Shimmer Body Lotion- This is another product I have yet to use, but the smell of it is probably the best from all 4 and one thing I've noticed, not just about this product but all of them, is that they all have the most amazing packaging! 

So that's my review on Moonlight Shimmer products which were sold at Newlook. I'm not sure if you can still purchase them, as I did receive them last Christmas. But I think they were fairly cheap aswell, considering it came in a gorgeous make-up bag too!

Marina and the Diamonds -Burger Queen Tour: 25/10/10

Hello there loves! I hope you've all had an enjoyable start to the week? 
If you follow me on Twitter or you watch me blog closely, you'll know that on monday I was planning to go to a Marina and the Diamonds concert live in Bristol. And I went and it was amazing! It was in Anson Rooms in Bristol and it was on from 07:30pm until 10:30pm. It was the second proper concert I've been to and so it was very exciting as you can tell! I went with Marianne from over at 'My Life' (i'll add a link in the comment box). 

For the first 5-6 hours of the day we went shopping in Bristol town centre and purchased from shops including Zara, Topshop, HMV & Primark. Believe it or not, I'd never been to a 'Zara' before this little trip! The only things I got was 2 pin badges which I thought were so cute, to remind me of Bristol. The first one was sort of Jack Wills based and said "Stay Calm. Make a Tea" and the second one was a Hello Kitty one. We took loads of pictures so if you'd like to see some random Bristol pics then comment below and I'll be sure to put some up. 

When we got to Anson Rooms (via Taxi) the line was SO long it went down most of the road. I would say there was already a good 300 people in that line and more came. When we got in (surprisingly very fast), we were second from the front so we had a great view of what was going on (and great for any raging photographers like myself) there was a kind of front band to we play about 8 songs before Marina actually performed. They were the fabulous The Cock'n'Bull Kid!
They were actually very good and the lead singer had very powerful vocals. The band was also very good (especially the drums and keyboard).

When Marina eventually came on she was talking to us (obviously as a whole room) and she just sounded so genuine and such a great person! She performed about 12 of her best songs including my favourites; "I am not a robot" and "Obsessions". She had 4 costume changes, all of which were absoloutly stunning! Overall I defiantly would see her live again and we both acted like such screaming girls when she came on!
The best part had to be the little shop outside selling merchandise though (what can I say? I'm a sucker for a cute shop) and I managed to nab a 5 side poster which cost me £5. And just as we were waiting outside for my Dad to pick us up, a body-guard came by and told us she was signing down the road. So we were the first to get ours signed. Right now, it's hanging to my bedroom wall. Overall, AMAZING NIGHT!
